  • José Garófalo English CV TANGO synthesis
    Visual artist, tango dancer, teacher and choreographer.
    He began to learn tango in 1987 with many stars of tango argentine and milongueros.
    In those same years he participates as a Performer in plays at University of Buenos Aires tango
    ballet, speeches and street actions where dance and theater are key players in his creations.
    He is currently President of the Civil Cambalache Association (since 2007) Directs the
    Cambalache Festival (since 2004). He works as a Tango teacher at the Faculty of Natural
    Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires (Since 1998)
    He participates in Troesmas research group dedicated to transmitting knowledge of teachers
    milongueros passed away.
    He directs the Company Tragicomic Tanguera since 2011.
    He was the organizer at Porteño y Bailarin between 2000-2010
    He lives in Buenos Aires Argentina and tour every year to USA (since 2016) with O1 visa.
