STUDIO POLICIES

Dance with Joy Studios offers 2 types of class structures: Series and Non-Series.

“Series” Class Policies

  • Series classes occur weekly for one full month, beginning with the first week of the month and ending the last week of the month.

  • These classes require you to preregister online 24 hours in advance. Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment for the entire session are subject to cancellation. (Please make sure to preregister!)

  • We notify you of a class cancellation by email/ phone. Please be sure to update your online profile with the best email address/ phone number to reach you. In the case of a class being cancelled, your payment will be saved and used for another class, or it will be refunded to your card.

  • If you pre-register for a class and do not show up, you will still be charged for this class.

Non-series Class Policies

  • Nonseries classes have a self-contained lesson each week, rather than material that builds from week to week.

  • These classes require you to preregister online 24 hours in advance. Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment 24 hours prior to class are subject to cancellation. (Please make sure to preregister!)

  • We notify you of a class cancellation by email. Please be sure to update your online profile with the best email address to reach you. In the case of a class being cancelled, your payment will be saved and used for another class, or it will be refunded to your card.

  • If you pre-register for a class and do not show up, you will still be charged for this class.

Minimum Enrollment Policy

All classes at Dance with Joy Studios require a 3-5 person minimum enrollment.  If a class has low enrollment 24 hours before, this class may be cancelled by the teacher or the teacher may choose to offer the preregistered students a private lesson for a greatly reduced price of $30-$50.  Please pre-register for each class you wish to take so that your instructor will know 24 hours before if their minimum enrollment has been met. Refund Policy for all Classes

All sales are final, no exceptions. However, you may transfer your pre-purchased classes to a friend or family member if you wish to share the packages you have purchased.  

Private Lesson Cancellation Policy

Please cancel a private lesson with 24 hours notice or you will be charged for the teacher’s time. Thank you for your care and understanding for our studio instructors and the studio.

Observation Policy

We allow observation of any Tiny Toes Classe (age 1-5), by parents/grandparents via the viewing window,  The parent/ grandparent may also choose to join their child in the classroom experience and dance with them.   For all other classes, age 5+ and above, our studio policy does not allow observation of a class without the full permission of the teacher and all of the students of the class and, even then, this is only for the last few minutes of a class, not the full class. This policy is set in place to best care for our students and our teachers, creating a safer classroom environment, respectful to not disturb the special classroom energy dynamic shared between a teacher and their students. A safe space is appreciated by our students and teachers and we created a nice waiting room area, a “studio cafe” , for other teachers, students and their families, to enjoy between classes . If you are curious about a class, we highly encourage a person interested in our classes to participate and try the class to decide which class is a best fit for their interest and learning style.  Thank you for your understanding as we try to best care for our students and our teachers by creating this safe learning environment.
